This page allows you to track my progress along the route. It is updated every 30 seconds while I am moving. Position is determined via GPS and position reporting is via GPRS data to the server. The tracking application requires Microsoft Silverlight to be installed and works on both PCs and Macs. Linux support for Silverlight is available but seems a bit flakey.
Turn on the StreetView option to get a better view of the route.
The tracker worked flawlessly during the whole week. With 30 second updates the resolution was good enough that I had people following me on the web texting me navigation instructions - especially as a cycled round a roundabout in the last hour trying to select the right exit. "You don't have time to cycle round in circles being one" which kind of proved the point.
The GPS tracker is now disabled. The last recorded position can be viewed using the links below.
